About the Artists - Scott and SharonFerlingere
Scott and Sharon FerlingereScott and Sharon Ferlingere are artists who paint on a canvas of wind with brushes of milkweed, pampas grass, grapevines, thistle, dogwood, and willow sticks. They the founders and owners of Eagle Productions, a studio that specializes in eagle sculptures for displays, awards and collectors. Their life size and larger sculptures are produced with the finest attention to detail, from the texture of the talons to the curve of the tail feathers. An outstanding example of what is considered “outsider”, “primitive” or “folk” art, Ferlingere eagles can be found in wildlife sanctuaries, museums, and private collections worldwide.

Self-taught artists who live and work in rural Ashtabula County, Ohio, Scott and Sharon are closely attached to nature and natural living. Born in Colorado, Scott worked as a carpenter, steel worker, plumber, electrician, mason, and truck farmer before beginning his ultimate career as an artist. Throughout these formative experiences, he had the soul and eye of the artist within, recognizing beauty in nature and skillfully creating unique works of art. Sharon shares Scott’s love of nature and skills and is an integral contributor to their joint projects. Their first gallery show was sponsored by Corporate Art Gallery, of Mentor, Ohio in 1994. In the years since, their work has gained ever-greater acclaim within the art community.Sharon working on an eagle
To encounter one of the Ferlingeres’ creations is to feel the majesty, beauty and spirit of their living counterparts. Those who come into contact with this amalgamation of plant and animal life are drawn to discover insight into both themselves and nature. The eagles are stunningly realistic and true to form. In fact, one experiences a transformation upon discovering the botanical origins of these remarkable works of art — a fundamental paradigm shift where one realizes that nature itself is the only medium available that can truly represent nature in such pure form. When you are in the presence of one of these works of art and come to that realization, you will in essence be at one with the artists.
